My 3rd piston design. The best so far.

This is the 3rd. design in the evolution of my piston design. It is really my second design that I modified to give greater airflow. When I used the second design , the piston would move back from the barrel about 1in. when the gun was fired. What I did not realize was that the end of the barrel was still INSIDE the piston assembly. This meant that the air had to flow through the space BETWEEN the OD of the barrel and the ID of the 3" pipe section inside the piston. The air had to move through a space only 1/4" wide!
So what I did was move the piston to another gun< My Long Gun > and move rubber sink stoppers to the end of the piston assembly. It is not shown ,that the stoppers are glued to the piece of steel that was added to the assembly. When this piston pulls away from the barrel , there will be no restriction of the air flow.
